Karen Kennedy.

Karen works in a collaborative atmosphere to identify innovative solutions that balance client objectives, regulatory requirements, and historic preservation principles. Based in Preservation Studios’ Long Island Office, Karen works with non-profits, private companies, municipalities, planners and State Historic Preservation Officers on a variety of history and preservation related projects. Her services include: historic surveys and inventories; Local landmark designation; State and National Register nominations; cultural resource investigation; Section 14.09 and Section 106 reviews; historic tax credits (Part 1); and significance analysis. Karen holds a Master of Science Degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Preservation and Planning and has over 18 years of experience in the field.  She lives on Long Island with her husband and daughter and has a son in Colorado.
