Bent’s Opera House

Preservation Studios worked with Talis Equity to transform the long shuttered opera house into a boutique hotel, events space, and fine dining. The Bickford Block immediately adjacent was rehabilitated in tandem with the opera house and connected internally to provide space for more guest rooms and retail. Plaster and architectural details within the opera house space were in poor condition and the heavy timber trusses above the ceiling required significant structural intervention after years of deflection, threatening potential collapse.
