Tom Yots.
Tom Yots founded Preservation Studios in 2002 after receiving a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the SUNY Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning. He has had a long career in historic preservation, specializing in municipal and non-profit preservation. In addition to serving for 9 years on the City of Niagara Falls Historic Preservation Commission he was a founding board member of the regional historic preservation non-profit, Preservation Buffalo Niagara, and later served as its executive director. He is currently Director of Municipal Services for Preservation Studios, working with municipalities and CLG communities and with non-profits. Tom is a lover of art, architecture, preservation and of all things historic. He lives in a loft at the Mattress Factory, one of Preservation Studios’ projects, with his wife, Louise and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Gracie, where he enjoys playing his restored century-old Chickering grand piano.
